The location of the villa was very convenient, being only a short distance from the entrance to the canyon trails of Starved Rock State Park. The villa itself was spacious and well-maintained, with two full baths which made getting ready a breeze. The parking right outside the front door was also very convenient.
One downside of our stay at this villa was that the beds were not very comfortable. However, this was a minor issue for us as everything else about the villa was great.

The villa is perfectly located, just a short distance from the entrance to the beautiful canyon trails of a State Park. The villa itself is spacious and well-maintained, with two gas fireplaces, a whirlpool bath, a full kitchen, and laundry facilities. The host is attentive and provides helpful driving directions. The villa is also surrounded by nature, with peacocks greeting guests every morning.
It would have been nice if there were more children's movies or access to Netflix for the kids to watch.

This made exploring the park incredibly convenient. Additionally, the villa itself was impressive, with two stories, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. It had all the amenities we needed, including two gas fireplaces, a whirlpool bath, a full kitchen, and laundry facilities. This meant that even on a rainy day when we couldn't hike the canyons, we still had a relaxing time in the villa.
Although there were many positive aspects to our stay, the beds in the villa were not very comfortable. However, this was a minor inconvenience for us as everything else about the villa was great.

The communication from the owner was exceptional. They provided detailed instructions before our arrival, including a map to the villa. We were greeted with a lovely surprise on Valentine's Day weekend - a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine! The owner was incredibly thoughtful and even sent a list of events happening during our stay. The location was perfect, just a half mile away from the entrance to the canyon trails of a nearby state park. The villa itself was fabulous, with two gas fireplaces, a whirlpool bath, and a full kitchen. We had a very relaxing time, even on a rainy day when our hiking plans got canceled.
The beds were not very comfortable, but overall it didn't bother us too much because everything else was great! It's important to note that the villa is not a stand-alone building but part of a unit with four attached villas, each individually owned.
